Researchers from IRET and Kyoto University have published a series of articles from the "PROCOBHA" project in a special issue of the Japanese journal Tropics this month. PROCOBHA (Conservation of Biodiversity in Tropical Forest through Sustainable Coexistence between Human and Wild Animals”) has been run since 2009 in Moukalaba-Doudou National Park. Articles are published on diverse topics including DNA barcoding for mammalian inventories, camera-trapping, great ape bacteriology, botanical plot inventory, tourism and local livelihoods.
