Une nouvelle espèce dans la famille des Achariaceae : Mocquerysia distans a été décrite dans la dernière édition de Plant Ecology and Evolution par F. Breteler de l’Université de Wageningen en Hollande. Cette publication vient à la suite d’une autre en début d’année du même auteur annonçant une nouvelle espèce d’Uapaca. Mocquerysia distans a été découverte à partir de collections faites dans la Forêt des Abeilles au centre du Gabon et résulte du réexamen de spécimens anciens d’herbarium.

A new species in the Achariaceae family: Mocquerysia distans has been described in the latest edition of Plant Ecology and Evolution by F. Breteler of Wageningen University, Holland, and follows an earlier publication this year by the same author announcing a new Uapaca species. Mocquerysia distans is known from collections made in the Foret des Abeilles in Central Gabon and results from re-examination of old herbarium specimens.
